Grand Masters Town Hall
On December 3rd, at the suggestion of our Most Worshipful Grand Master nearly 75 brothers representing 19 lodges attended the 1st (that I can remember) Town Hall Meeting.
Before I get into some comments about the meeting, on behalf of our Grand Master, I want to thank the brothers from Roger Williams Lodge No. 32 for hosting the event and the brethren for taking time out of their Saturday morning to attend.
The purpose of the meeting was to give the brethren from this Grand Jurisdiction an opportunity to discuss issues they felt were important to the Craft and to our Grand Jurisdiction in an informal setting. R∴W∴John Anderson presented some thoughts from the Public Relations Committee and W∴Michael Southern presented some thoughts from the Committee on Social Media. Many great questions and comments were made which I assure you, were heard by your Grand Lodge Officers.
Ideas flow two ways from the bottom up and from the top down. I was reminded by a brother that the idea of a Big Mac did not come from an executive at McDonald’s headquarters but from the owner of a McDonalds franchise, and we all know how that turned out. Keep them coming!
No date has been established but the Grand Master is planning on having another Town Hall Meeting in the spring that will give us another opportunity to discuss issues of importance to you.
